The property described in the Act of Mortgage is described as follows: A certain parcel of land located in Section 55, Township 17 North, Range 3 East, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, being more particularly described as follows: Beginning on the southerly bank of the Ouachita River at the northeast corner of the 53.19 acre tract acquired by Mrs. Ida Williams on February 10, 1917, by act of partition between the said Mrs. Ida Williams, Mrs. Maggie Richardson and Mrs. Mollie Tatum, of record in conveyance book 80, page 507, said corner being shown as corner no. 5 on plat attached to the act of partition; thence north 63° 37; east, along the southerly bank of the Ouachita River, a distance of 8.85 chains (584.10 feet); thence north 83° 21' east along said river bank, a distance of 7.68 chains (506.88 feet) to the northeast corner of the 59.27 acre tract acquired by Mrs. Maggie Richardson and Mrs. Mollie Tatum, said corner being shown as corner no. 1 on aforementioned plat; thence south 3° 20' east along the east line of said Richardson-Tatum 59.27 acre tract, a distance of 175.84 feet to an iron pin at the northeast corner of a 1.924 acre tract sold by S. B. Hunt to W. L. Gavoille as per deed of record in conveyance book 567, page 719: thence south 79° 59' west along the north line of said Gavoille tract and continuing along the north line of property sold by S. B. Hunt to Leroy Travis as per deed of record in conveyance book 622, page 703, and in conveyance book 680, page 644, a distance of 530.02 feet to an iron pin at the northwest corner of said Leroy Travis tract; thence south 3° 26.5' east along the westerly line of said Leroy Travis tract, a distance of 1,214.24 feet to an iron pin on the north line of a public road called Buckhorn Bend Road (60 feet wide); thence south 82° 50' west along the north line of Buckhorn Bend Road, a distance of 359.11 feet to the east line of the aforementioned tract acquired by Mrs. Ida Williams by act of partition; thence north 10° 56' west along the east line of said Ida Williams 53.19 acre tract, a distance of 1,227.71 feet to the point of beginning, containing 15.79 acres, more or less, together with riparian rights and all property susceptible to private ownership lying between the above described property and the Ouachita River. The above described property being a portion of the same property acquired by Samuel B. Hunt from Henry T. Bass, August, 1946, as per deed of record in conveyance book 416, page 371, records of Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.
